National Postdoc Meeting 2017
The Postdocs of Cambridge Society
The primary purpose of the meeting is to discuss how UK universities live up to the Concordat to Support the Career Development of Researchers and the Bratislava Declaration of Young Researchers and input into the on-going review of the Concordat.
The meeting will be one full day from lunch on Tuesday 19th September to lunch on Wednesday 20th September, will include workshops and talks from invited speakers, and will be directly followed by a panel discussion of representatives from research funders and policy institutions. In the evening of 19th September there will be a formal dinner for all participants at Peterhouse, the oldest of the Cambridge Colleges.
The National Postdoc Meeting will be the inaugural event to be held in the Postdoc Centre at Eddington in North West Cambridge. This is the third space dedicated to postdocs in Cambridge and the first to be built especially for that purpose.
All postdocs active in the UK are welcome to participate in the National Postdoc Meeting. Eligible postdocs are researchers who have completed their doctoral degrees and are employed in non-permanent research roles in the research sector, regardless of length of time since completion of the degree. Any questions about eligibility may be addressed to email@example.com.
