The Friends of MIASU was established in 2011, the twenty-fifth anniversary of the founding of the Mongolia & Inner Asia Studies Unit at the University of Cambridge. It is an association with the joint aims of providing outreach into the broader community to inform about this fascinating region with its enormous range of cultures, ethnicities, topographies and resources, and supporting the depth and breadth of scholarly research on the region as it opens up into the global community.
