The 3rd European Summer School on Bio-based Composites (ESBBC-3) will be hosted at the University of Cambridge & St John's College, Cambridge from September 15-17 2025. 

It is a unique event for students (PhD, Masters) and early-career researchers (post-docs, academics, industry) interested in the areas of bio-based composites, as well as fibres, textiles and natural materials. It follows previous successful summer schools in Tarbes (ENIT, 2023), and Besoncon (FEMTO-ST, 2021). 

Designed for interactive discussions, ESBBC-3 will have a combination of thought-provoking lectures, upskilling Masterclasses & Tutorials, introductory Workshops, presentations from major EU projects, and flash-presentations by all attendees. 

The programme is organised into thematic sessions covering process/value-chains, design & applications, performance & functionality, computational/AI approaches, and whole-life-cycle management.

For 2.5 days, come and learn, exchange and share in this multidisciplinary field that fascinates and inspires many of us.
