Professional Studies Advisor, Department of Architecture, University of Cambridge

Professional Studies Advisor, Department of Architecture, University of Cambridge

£30.00

Description

The RIBA requires every school of architecture to make available Professional Studies Advisors (PSA’s) to recent graduates of architecture.

The cost of a University of Cambridge PSA is £30 a year.

Detailed Description

PSA’s are practising Architects. Their role is described in full here: (http://www.pedr.co.uk/Guide/PSAJob) but basically involves meeting up with graduates during their work experience, dealing with any problems, generally mentoring them and signing their PEDR log sheets. Keeping these up to date is an essential part of qualifying as an architect. If you intend to become an architect, you should make sure you register and keep a logbook of your work experience as you go, and sign up for a PSA.
