DescriptionThe one-week, technically-focused programme will provide attendees with hands-on training in transistor fabrication and analysis within a state-of-the-art nanotechnology cleanroom. This year, participants will have the unique opportunity to conduct their practical training in the new Cleanroom facility at the Ray Dolby Centre, home of the Cavendish Laboratory, Department of Physics at Cambridge. In addition to practical training, participants will benefit from a series of lectures delivered by leading researchers from academia and industry. These sessions will cover essential technical know-how and provide an overview of the UK semiconductor industry, equipping attendees with the skills and knowledge needed to work in advanced nanotechnology cleanrooms. This unique opportunity is designed for both industrial and academic professionals, offering hands-on experience in cleanroom fabrication and semiconductor device processing. The course is particularly valuable for scientists and engineers from a variety of disciplines who wish to gain practical insights into nanofabrication techniques. It is relevant for those working on cutting-edge technologies such as spintronics or bioelectronics, where advanced fabrication methods play a crucial role in device development. The course is a collaboration between the University of Cambridge, University of Leeds, Swansea University and CS Connected and is supported by the Henry Royce Institute.
