DescriptionThis two and a half day residential course is designed to give Year 11 and 12 students an insight into studying veterinary medicine in general and also to show the unique benefits of the Cambridge course through a mixture of lectures, discussions, practical demonstrations and tours of the preclinical departments and clinical areas. Places will be limited to 100 on first-come-first-served basis, and it would be sensible to encourage only likely A/A*-grade candidates to attend. Please note that Chemistry A level (or equivalent) is mandatory, and we strongly recommend two other science subjects, normally Biology, Physics or Maths. Participants will stay overnight in St Catharine’s’ College for a taste of life as a Cambridge undergraduate. ContactRachel Worsley/Katheryn Ayres More InformationAdditional night before VETCAM 2026 You may stay the night before VETCAM 2026 (Sunday 29th March) for dinner, bed and breakfast for £120. We have a limited number of these rooms, so it will be on a first come first served basis. Rooms will be available around 3pm and dinner will be served at 6.30pm. You can only book this option if you have booked a shared bathroom type of room. As this is an optional extra, we would like to make it clear that the attendees will not be supervised on this night. Some of our veterinary students will attend dinner with them so it will be a good time to ask their advice and learn from their experiences on the course. After the meal board games will be available to use. |
