Description

Neuroimaging methods such as EEG, fMRI, and functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS) are gaining popularity in research and clinical applications, and while each technique helps understand a niche aspect of brain function, there is greater potential in combining these modalities.

We are organising an interdisciplinary hackathon focused on data analysis of non-invasive human functional neuroimaging data. Teams of 3 to 5 researchers with various backgrounds (neuroscience, cognitive science, signal processing, image reconstruction, data science, machine learning, etc.) will be challenged to design the best and most innovative processing pipeline to deal with multimodal neuroimaging data. The researchers will work within groups over the 2-day event and present their project and results at the end to be evaluated by judges for a prize. The overarching aim of this event is to bring together people with various specialties for a hands-on project and trigger longer-term interdisciplinary collaborations in the future.
