UK MBE is an annual workshop for the molecular beam epitaxy (MBE) community in and around the UK. The workshop allows the MBE community to get together once a year to discuss research, progress and general discussion about MBE as a growth technology and new material systems/research that MBE can be applied to. The event is kept informal and accessible to encourage attendance as many as possible.

There is a long history of MBE Arsenide growth at the Cavendish and hosting UK MBE is an opportunity to strengthen relations between the community and the new MBE-Nanofab Team. With the move into new labs at the RDC, there is general interest in the community about the new labs and how the move of the multiple MBE systems housed in the RDC was completed. 

The event itself would consist of a couple of presentation sessions in the cluster rooms with refreshment area/breakdown space in the seminar rooms where exhibitors will have tables to display information about their products and services. There would also be an option for those attending the event to have a tour of the RDC and the new MBE labs.
