EPSS Summer School, 06 July - 01 August 2026![]() DescriptionThe Experimental Physics Summer School (EPSS) is a four-week, full-time residential programme at the University of Cambridge’s Cavendish Laboratory, designed for undergraduates eager to deepen their hands-on expertise in experimental physics. Running from 6 July to 1 August 2026 at the state-of-the-art Ray Dolby Centre, the programme offers an intensive technical experience that goes far beyond a typical undergraduate course: students will build optical systems, control instruments, troubleshoot real experimental setups, and develop practical skills essential for research or technical careers in R&D. Alongside lectures, labs, group projects, and training in communication and critical analysis, participants will work within a world-leading research environment and engage with a vibrant community of peers and researchers. With early-bird applications closing 7 January 2026 (discounted fee £4,150) and the main deadline on 15 February 2026 (standard fee £4,650), EPSS provides an unparalleled opportunity to train like a physicist at Cambridge and gain a strong foundation for future research or graduate study.
